Vehicle Description
1987 Morgan 4/4
The Morgan 4/4 is a nimble and agile drivers' car. The combination
of lightweight and skinny tires make for a perfect entry level
sports car while it's affordable price make it the ideal
introduction.
Having been in production since 1936, the 4/4 is the longest
running production vehicle in the world and has built up iconic
status during that time. A combination of Superformed and hand
formed aluminium body panels help to make the 4/4 the lightest car
in the Morgan classic range, weighing just 795kg.
Offered is a very rare 1987 Morgan 4/4 with the even rarer IMPCO LP
Gas conversion. Painted in Ferrari Rosso Red with Tan Connelly
leather hides and Wilton wool carpets, the Morgan is one of the
World's last truly hand built automobiles. The odometer reads
22,565 miles.
The 4/4 is powered by a 1600 cc Ford 4-cylinder engine producing 95
hp. The Morgan has been a Pennsylvania car since the third owner
purchased in 1999 with just over 5,000 miles on the odometer.
Included with the car are owner's manuals and IMPCO conversion
technical manual. Truly, a rare and wonderful British hand-built
automobile.
