Take a look at this very nice vintage 1940 Chevy Pickup brought to
you by Caruso Classic Cars. Truck was completely rebuilt and
painted in early 2000s. Owner has all documentation for all work
performed. New dash and VDO gauges which shows the 21,800 miles
driven since restoration. 350 Engine with 4 barrel Holley Carbs,
bored and balanced, headers, MSD ignition with ballast. Rebuilt
automatic transmission with GM rear-end, floor shift and a great
sounding dual exhaust. front end consists of original straight axle
& steering box with single leaf front springs that were replaced
during rebuild. Original Vacuum wiper. Disc brakes in the front and
drums in the rear. All steel body EXCEPT for the four fenders which
are all fiberglass. All steel aftermarket bed. Nice two tone aqua
and black paint (Hot Licks PPG) done by Blair Smith. Body was
completely sandblasted to bare metal before paint applied. Finish
coat paint was done inside and out. This truck has been driven and
used as a work truck and the paint has a few minor scratches here
and there but overall is in very nice condition and presents a
wonderful patina. Wood bed needs to be refinished and some boards
replaced - see pictures. Undercarriage clean and solid. 5 lug
wheels, nice tires with vintage hubcaps, New gas tank. Stereo with
CD. This is a great old truck that is very solid mechanically and
