1977 saw the introduction of a downsized DeVille lineup. The new
cars featured a higher roofline and were nine inches shorter and 4
inches narrower and over half a ton lighter yet featured more
interior and trunk space. The reduction in size and weight was an
attempt to produce better fuel economy numbers and the 500cid V8
was downsized to a 425cid V8. Despite their smaller size, the new
models were instantly popular with over 234k produced in 1977.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this gorgeous Cotillion White
Coupe DeVille for your consideration. This example is in wonderful
condition and is one of the nicest ones we have seen. The body of
this vehicle is excellent and free of dents or rot. The paintwork
is very nice and is said to have been repainted in 2006. All of the
trim including chrome, rubber, and plastic parts are in excellent
shape and some of which was replaced by the current owner. Exterior
features included large chrome bumpers, quad headlights, hood
ornament, factory hubcaps with whitewall tires, vinyl top, power
antenna, and an aftermarket power sunroof. Being a top of the line
Cadillac sedan, the interior is completely loaded. White leather
interior is wonderful with only a little bit of wear. Woodgrain
trim is excellent and the dashboard is uncracked. Interior features
include power windows, power locks, cruise control, tilt wheel,
interior lighting, power seats, power mirror, original radio, air
conditioning, and opera lights. In addition, the owner notes that
the car is equipped with a CB radio, and that even the clock
works!
Having owned it since 2001, this coupe has been well taken care of
and features a whole host of new parts. New fuel tank, new master
cylinder, new coil springs, new tires, and lots of replacement trim
are keeping this car in excellent shape. The 425cid V8 is a strong
runner and and the automatic transmission is super smooth. This car
glides down the road in utter luxury and will be sure to make the
new owner very happy
