Vehicle Description
Rare European Standard Model!! Thoroughly Restored Example!!
Working Trafficator Turn Signals! Juniper Grey Exterior & Trimwork
Matching Grey Two Tone Interior 1,192cc Engine w/4 Speed Trans
Featured in VW Trends Magazine April '97 Built strictly for the
European market, the standard is a bare bones version of the deluxe
Beetle with limited options like radio delete and painted trim
instead of chrome. Purchased originally through Otto Glockler VW in
Frankfurt Germany, this car eventually made its way to California
via Canada and was restored by the VW fanatics at West Coast
Classics. This California Beetle was refinished in its original
Juniper Gray along with all the exterior trim refinished in the
proper grey color as well. This European model still retains its
fully functioning semaphore turn signals or trafficators! Inward,
the grey seats feature vinyl sides with cloth inserts and correct
door panels all in the original grey colors. The engine compartment
highlights the 1,192cc engine that runs beautifully and is backed
by the non-syncro 4 speed transmission. Please give us a call to
find out more about this rare Standard Beetle!!
