Vehicle Description

Description

1969 Dodge Charger

The Charger is a mid-size automobile that was produced by Dodge from 1966 to 1978, and was based on the Chrysler B platform. It was a huge hit as a muscle Car with engines from the 318 up to the mighty 426 Hemi.

It was most famous as the Car Bo & Luke Duke popularized in The Dukes of Hazzard television series. The Dukes of Hazzard featured an orange 1969 Dodge Charger that was named The General Lee.

Why This Car Is Special

You can drive this Black 1969 Charger we have at Skyway Classics and surpass any of the crazy stunts they did because this one is modified a whole lot more than the General Lee. It has been completely redone with a lot of performance and handling parts.

Mechanical

The engine in our Charger is the B-series 440 Magnum. These engines were painted Chrysler High-Performance Orange differing from the 426 Hemi which was painted Street Hemi Orange. This 440 has been reworked and modified and includes a bunch of performance additions including a performance carb, headers, windage tray in the oil pan, a different camshaft profile, and different valve springs, Black Mopar Performance valve covers, performance plug wires and MSD ignition, correct factory air cleaner, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brake system, and air conditioning.

Interior

The custom black interior features factory bucket seats and black carpet with a custom carbon-fiber themed dash wit a compliment of Autometer gauges, stereo systems, as well as a carbon fiber pistol grip shifter in the factory center console.

Exterior

The 1969 model year brought few modifications. Exterior changes included a new grille with a center divider and new longitudinal taillights. Our Charger is blacked out including the 14 spoke blacked out wheels with large front and rear performance tires. It has great lines and a very sinister look.
The sound is great with the headers flowing into the dual exhaust system and dumping out underneath the H.D. Coil over suspension and rear end.

Conclusion

If you want a mundane car that will not attract any attention, do nor buy this 1969 Dodge Charger we have at Skyway Classics. This one will affect all your senses. It sounds and looks mean in black, and it is. Come see it and you will see what we mean.
