1965 Dodge Coronet A/FX Replica 528 HEMI "Gasser"
A 4 year Build "Dr. Hot Rod" and others participated, it was updated to a factory A/FX replica. The Coronet is powered by a 528 HEMI with Hilborn Long Stack Injection with a FAST EZ controller. The car was given a A100 Dodge Van drop axle using all factory parts and strange SS shocks as was done back in the day. The Motor has stage V chrome vale covers, TTI ceramic coated headers and a 727 Torque flight automatic transmission. The powder coated Dana 60 has 3:54 gears with Tri City leaf springs and drum brakes in the back and Disc brakes up front. The 15x10 powder coated torq thrush wheels and M/T 315x50x15 tires are held on with long studs. The Gary Ball Champagne interior was installed by Danny Romo of Irwindale, Ca. With A100 Dodge van seats and rear seat delete. The correct delete plates are on the dash and the cluster is replicated and rebuilt showing 400+- miles since the car was completed. The fuel system use SS lines 1/2 delivery and 3/8 return to the fuel cell located in the correctly finished trunk. A dated replica battery is mounted correctly in the splatter finished mini tubbed trunk. The body has the back-up light deletes correct hood scope and a single light polished SS grille. The car has been featured in Car Craft Magazine and was invited to the Playboy Mansion Charity Car Show among many other awards. Receipts and records of the build go with the car. Car is signed by Legendary Racers, Tom McEwen aka "Mongoose", Herb McCandless aka " Mr. 4 Speed", Buddy Martin of "Sox and Martin"
