1958 Studebaker Silver Hawk
A car that was well ahead of it's time, the 1958 Studebaker Silver
Hawk was considered the flagship model of Studebaker and seen as a
dealership draw. The car sold very well and are sought after
by Studebaker enthusiasts due to their great lines and distinctive
styling.
The car presented at auction has a fresh re-paint in a red and
white livery. Prior to painting, the car started as a largely
rust free body, with only the front passenger side floorboard
needing attention. The car has a few custom features
including the signature fins and rear wheel well molding. The
interior sports new carpet and new upholstery.
Mechanically the car runs ad drives great! The 289 V8 is
mated to a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive, making this
car a pleasure to cruise in. All new brakes have been applied
including brake lines, wheel cylinders, pad/shoes,
etc.
