The second generation Oldsmobile Cutlass was a body-on-frame
intermediate size car produced from 1964 to 1967. The car
enjoyed great popularity across the country and helped Cutlass
become Oldsmobile's best selling model for many years to
come. Today, the Cutlass continues to be very popular
among classic car enthusiasts.
This Cutlass presented at auction is a very well optioned low mile
example. With a three owner history and the current owner
with a 20+ year possession, this car has been exceptionally well
cared for. The car is in great original condition save a
repaint and the wheels. The interior upholstery, carpet and
the white convertible top are completely original as is the trunk
upholstery. A new back window was installed for clarity and a
center console was added to the interior and presents very
well. The factory power windows and the power(hydraulic)
convertible works like new. The spare tire is believed to the
original bias ply tire from the factory. The paint and the
interior show very well with the car being enjoyed as a
classic/collectible driver. The bumpers were re-chromed 20
years ago and still shine bright.
Under the hood is the numbers matching High Compression Olds
Rocket engine which runs very strong and smooth. The odometer
shows 53,500 miles which are believed to be actual. The
distributor was upgraded to electronic ignition. The
automatic transmission operates smoothly and the car has been
enjoyed on may long runs through Yellowstone National Park.
