1985 Chevrolet El Camino
The Chevrolet El Camino is a coupe utility vehicle that was produced by Chevrolet between 1959–60 and 1964–1987. Unlike a pickup truck, the El Camino was adapted from a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body.
Introduced in the 1959 model year in response to the success of the Ford Ranchero coupé utility, its first run lasted only two years. Production resumed for the 1964–1977 model years based on the Chevelle platform, and continued for the 1978–1987 model years based on the GM G-body platform.
We have a complete frame off restoration and modified-customized 1985 Chevrolet El Camino here at Classic Vintage Exchange. This “gentlemans” pickup is sprayed in a beautiful blue paint with a cowl induction hood up front and a modified 4-taillight Corvette rear bumper. The lines are great and shines great. It even has a custom sprayed liner material in the trunk.
The tan interior looks great and factory fresh with its tan seat, plush carpets, and good headliner. It has the full set of factory gauges, including a factory tachometer, and the column-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission makes this a genuine 3-passenger vehicle.
This vehicle is powered by a 350 cubic inch LT1 Corvette engine with shifting duties handled by a Turbo Hydramatic 350 transmission. The exhaust note is handled by the dual exhaust system exiting out the chrome Corvette tips under the rear bumper.
The rolling parts include polished 5-spoke mag wheels with great blackwall performance tires.
It is a very straight solid car built right with a lot of power. Custom front end and custom rear tail bumper. Beautiful blue paint with custom sprayed liner. This 1985 El Camino we have at Classic Vintage Exchange will be a great daily driver and show car.
