For Sale: 1961 Chrysler 300G in Fredericksburg, Virginia

Vehicle Description

A 1961 Chrysler 300G that will Wow You—and Everyone Else!

The 1961 Chrysler 300s are among the most highly sought after classics, and this car is a particularly nice example of this limited production coupe:

  • Fully Restored
  • 413/375 V-8 with Ram Induction
  • Nice paint/new interior
  • Factory Air Conditioning
  • Swivel seats

For those who like to decode VINs, there is attached a picture of the VIN plate.  That number is 8413102302.

An Great Example!

  • Paint and Chrome

This 300G underwent a color-change repaint and its black finish has a deep shine that looks like only a black car can: elegant.

The chrome and stainless are in excellent condition and nicely compliment the paint.

And, the body and underside of the car appear to be free of rust and/or corrosion.

  • Interior

The seat upholstery is tan and was totally redone.  The door panels are in very good condition, and the dash is free from cracks. The  headliner appears new as does the carpeting.

  • Engine

The engine is the 413 Chrysler 375 h.p. wedge with the ram induction system.  The engine starts right up and does what it was intended to do: be docile when you are cruising but be a tiger when you want power.

  • Transmission

The transmission is a Torqueflight automatic with push-button controls.  It is a nice departure from the more common column or floor mounted units.

  • Comfort and Safety Systems

The 300 series represented a unique blend of performance and luxury, and so power steering and power brakes were made part of the package.  This car has factory air (which works), power driver’s seat, swivel seats for both the driver and passenger, and power windows.

It is also a car where almost everything works.  Even the AM Golden Tone radio works!  The tachometer and right rear window mechanism will need repair and the clock thinks it’s still 1961.

A Rare Example of one of Chrysler’s Most Popular Early Muscle Cars

This 300G is an exceptional example of the Chrysler “300 letter” marque.  The combination of power and luxury have made these cars very desirable and, therefore, highly collectible.   With the optional factory air, you have a car that will do well in judging while being enjoyable driving to and from the shows.  This is a great example of a Mopar muscle car that everyone in the family will enjoy.  Stop by and see this rare car.
