Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this
beautiful 2002 Ford F150 Lightning for sale right now in our
Arizona showroom. The Lightning was originally devised by Ford's
Special Vehicle Team in 1993 as a modified regular cab short bed
2WD F150. Those were built for three model years and then the
Lightning program was pretty quiet until Ford debuted these second
gen trucks in 1999. Still utilizing a regular cab short box 2WD
F150, these were a lot different than their predecessors. The
Lightning now had a 5.4L modular V8 with a supercharger. The engine
internals were also beefed up as was the automatic transmission and
the heavy-duty 8.8 rear axle. This F150 is a beautiful silver hue
and is still the original paint applied at Ford over 15 years ago.
The interior is black and gray, as was the case with every
Lightning. The mods on this truck are extensive. Here's a list for
all the gearheads that are interested...2.3 Kenne Belle
Supercharger, Flowmaster cat-back exhaust, Killer Chiller, 60 lb
matched injectors, Diablosport Mafia tuner, AEM 98mm cold air pipe,
255 lph fuel pumps, Accufab billet oval throttle body, 5/16" fuel
line, NGK TR6 plugs, Dynatech long tube headers, FAST dual sensor
wide band Air/Fuel meter, dual Air Force Interceptor gauges, and
20" Lightning-type wheels instead of the standard 18" that they
were equipped with. This sharp little F150 Lightning looks almost
new and sounds very tame at idle, but when you get on the throttle,
it instantly roars to life and takes you n a really quick ride.
