This 2002 Ford Thunderbird was customized by Chip Foose and renamed
the ""Speedbird"" Ford Motor company commissioned Chip to customize
the then new T Bird for the SEMA show. They gave him carte blanche
and in Chip's words he wanted to make the car more masculine. Chip
kept this car and drove it to shows and on special occasions for
the next 16 years. The drivetrain is stock 2002 Ford Thunderbird
which includes a 3.9 Liter V8 and a 5 speed automatic transmission.
The car has been lowered at all 4 corners by using Elbach Springs.
The brakes were upgraded with Baer Calipers & Rotors. Foose 20 inch
wheels with Pirelli tires provide the finishing touch. The exterior
is loaded with custom features including a wrap around windshield
and custom side glass. Both the front and rear fascias were
customized. The hood was reworked with a unique scoop and vents.
Stylized roll bar hoops were added to the Tonneau cover. Custom
exterior scrips and emblems were installed. The interior seats were
upgraded and covered in a Black leather with burnt orange inserts.
