Vehicle Description
Ford introduced a new body style for 1949 that was a bold departure
from the days of the pre-war "Deluxe" and "Standard" models.
Fenders were completely enveloped into the body which dramatically
changed the panel designs of all Ford models from the point going
forward. The chassis and suspension was updated to compliment the
complete body re-styling. The 1949-51 models that survived the
onset of serveral decades have become prized for their vintage
character and sturdy build quality. Affectionately nicknamed the
"Shoebox", the 49-51 Fords maintain their timeless appeal with
young and old collectors alike
