Vehicle Description
1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible GREAT DRIVER!
This has long been considered one of the first "classic" cars ever
with its stylish looks and performance styling standing beside the
Corvette of the same year...which it outperforms. Ford produced
this smaller sized Thunderbird between 1955 and 1957 and it was
known as the first two-door luxury sport automobile ever to be
made. It has that classic retro styling and 50's deluxe interior
amenities. This one has undergone a frame-on restoration including
an engine overhaul and has been impeccably maintained since.
It is powered by a 312ci V-8 engine pulling 225 horsepower with an
Edelbrock 600CFM 4-barrel carburetor coupled to an auto
transmission with overdrive making it easy to flow through traffic
and a great drive. It has undergone a 12-volt conversion and
performs every bit like a contemporary car.
A recent and very pricey interior restoration including a new
headliner, dash, seat cover, windows overhauled with new seals for
ease-of-use, rear window and windshield seals makes driving a
dream. Complete with new floor mats and carpeting complete with new
door jamb scuff plates the car looks like new inside. It is
equipped with a Retro Stereo with contemporary Bluetooth functions
to make cruising a dream. The dash is gorgeous with tooled metal
offset by black gauges and they are all free of fog and scratches.
The car retains it vacuum wipers but they are newly overhauled and
work perfectly.
The exterior is done in rare black lacquer with removable hardtop
and it has the iconic porthole windows polished brilliantly. The
body is rust free and straight free of any dings but does have a
few paint cracks from when it was redone due to the paint being
applied too thick. Our shop did a complete color sand, buff and wax
and from 5 feet it looks perfect but does have a few flaws. We can
repaint the car at a discounted rate if you desire but it is a
killer driver right now just as it sits. It has always been garaged
and is all steel. It is also equipped with a very rare limo style
antenna mounted on the trunk deck. It sits on radial tires with
white walls and full tread with T-bird logo hubcaps newly aligned
including rotated tires.
Pay $31,000.00 for this one and drive it every day with no
worries!
This car is located and being represented for a collector in the
Seattle, Washington area.
