Vehicle Description
Ford Motor Company used names for cars that would spark interest
during in the big space race. With names like Comet, Meteor,
Falcon, Thunderbird, the name "Galaxie" was a perfect fit for the
full size car. The Galaxie was produced from 1959 to 1974. The Ford
Galaxie was one of the most popular full size automobiles of its
time and came in a variety of trims, body styles and engine
options.
This 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible comes with its 289 v8 paired
with an automatic transmission. The car runs and shifts very well.
The Galaxie came from Montana and remains very solid. The Galaxie
rides on its 14 inch factory wheels with hubcaps. The blue vinyl 2
tone interior shows some sign of wear, but overall remains in good
condition. The power top works as it should. The car has an AM
radio, dash clock, owner's manual, full size spare and jack and a
gigantic trunk area. The generator was upgraded and replaced with
an alternator this past year. This car is a blast to drive and is
ready for its new owner.
