Vehicle Description
Without a doubt this 1955 Chevrolet 3100 has to be one of our
favorite trucks that we have seen roll through the doors lately.
Beyond the obvious look that only a lifetime of use can bring, this
3100 is very deceptive. Simply looking at the outside you might
just pass along, but you would miss the fact that under the hood is
a Chevy 350 with aluminum heads, power front disc brakes, and a
mustang 2 front suspension for an incredible ride... Oh and did we
mention it has a 6-speed manual?
The 55 "big window" pickups are always desirable and this one is no
different. The patina on the top of the doors, hood and rough is
all original. The fenders did have to be replaced and painted to
match. However, whoever did it knew what they were doing, because
it flows flawlessly from the hood to the fenders. The bed is 100%
original patina, infact the bed was used as a motorcycle trailer
for many years. You can tell from the photos that the bed has some
rust in the tail gate, but for us it just adds to the character of
the truck.
Like we mentioned under the hood is a 350 V8 with RHS aluminum
heads, Team G intake, brand new Summit 4-bbl carbuerotr, MSD Coil
and distributor, Mustang 2 front suspension with rack and pinion
and tubular control arms. Bolted to the engine is a 6-speed manual
transmission that sends power to a 10-bolt rear.
Not to often do you find this much character inside and out on a
pickup. If you are looking to restore a truck, this is a good
candidate for that. However, for us, the truck is just ready to be
enjoyed the way it is. Don't miss your chance to own this awesome
pickup.
