History:
Porsche factory documents show delivery on August 1, 1964 to
Porsche Cars Pacific in Burlingame, California. First owner, Vernon
Jensen of 1225 North Vagedes, Fresno, California followed by just
three California owners. The most recent owned the Coupe for three
years and the previous owner for 20. Still with old black
California license plates. It is in its original color of light
ivory with black interior. A true rust-free California example.
Condition:
A survivor with original body shell and floors was professionally
restored, as needed, by Bill Perrone of The Parts Shop in
Huntington Beach, Calif. about 15 years ago. Still with a complete
original floor pans and logitudenals it has VIN stampings in doors,
front hood, and rear engine lid. There were very few reproduction
parts used in the restoration. Largely original bright work, which
was installed over 30 years ago, hood handle and deco trim. Rebuilt
SC engine, which performs perfectly. Recent refurbishment by
Personalized Auto Haus to include transmission rebuild, suspension,
brakes and more. Leather seats done by Autos International Inc. Has
5.5” chrome wheels.
Of Note:
Comes with a good restoration record with photographs. Old black
California license plates, Porsche factory Kartex and Certificate
of Authenticity, owners’ manual, tool kit, and original radio. A
very rare find for the discerning 356 enthusiast that knows
originality is everything. Ready to enter a rally and enjoy the
Porsche driving experience.
