Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 19th year in the
classic and muscle car business. Check out this 1947 Ford 1/2 ton
V8 panel truck. 'Panels' like this accounted for a large percentage
of commercial vehicles both prior to and after WWII, eventually
becoming fixtures of the American automotive culture. The panel was
based on the truck chassis and was styled with current trucks,
while the similar but less robust sedan delivery was derived from
the car line. This '47 is a series 79C equipped with the 239ci
flathead V8 and 3-speed manual transmission with floor shift. The
engine runs, but it needs brakes, lights, etc. before it hits the
road. There is some interesting paperwork that includes 2 manifests
stating that it was used to haul honey into Kansas during 1948-1949
and a Western Union telegram (!) confirming the owner's insurance
policy. This Honeydripper is also full of spare doors and various
parts. Can you say 'rat rod'? There is absolutely no extra charge
for the authentic bullet holes. Street Dreams is a full service
dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and
financing options.
