This car is a 1962 250 HP Corvette built in mid-October
1961. It has a replacement 327 engine that has the correct
casting number for 1962. The transmission is a 4 speed
T-10.
The tires are Firestone Deluxe Champions 7.60 -15 which are the
correct size and manufacturer for 1962. Tread is very
good. The wheel covers are original and in good but not
perfect condition.
It has older black lacquer paint that still shows very well
with only a few minor imperfections. The hard top is in very
good condition as well as the liner and windows. The soft top
is in good condition other than a few wrinkles. The photos
make the soft top appear white although the actual color is more of
a very light beige. The chrome on the bumpers is very good.
Interior is black vinyl that shows only minor wear on the
driver's seat. The carpet is in good condition but is
faded slightly in a few spots. Door panels and dash pad both
look very nice. There is a few minor paint chips around the
instrument panel. Currently, the speedometer needs some
work.
The frame and suspension is very good although not
restored. There is only a few spots of minor surface
rust.
The engine starts and runs good. The car drives very
well.
The odometer reading likely is not accurate since it is
currently not working but it may be close considering the overall
condition of the car.
