Chevrolet 150, 210, and Bel Air models, excluding the Corvette and
trucks. Of the Tri-Fives, the Bel Air was the highest optioned
vehicle, and in 1955 was offered with a V8 for the first time,
hence its marketing tagline: "The Hot One."
GKM is excited to offer this 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe for
consideration. We love the lines on this car, especially the
no-post open window look. The car was originally sold in Utah where
the restoration was completely about 17 years ago. The car then
went to Florida where our client purchased it 15 years ago and
brought it to Michigan. It has always been garage-kept. The car is
finished in stunning two tone Harvest Gold and India Ivory with
beautiful brightwork. The interior is a contrasting green with a
beautiful symmetric dashboard. The original steel wheels are
painted in matching Harvest Gold with chrome hubcaps - the proper
fit and finish for a Bel Air.
The car is powered by a period-correct 265ci V8 with a
3-on-the-tree manual, upgraded from the original 6-cylinder. It
also has power steering, original spare, analog lock, aftermarket
retro tape deck, dual exhaust, and original owners manual. This Bel
Air fires on command, runs strong, and shifts smooth. It is a
staple of the 50's and you won't be disappointed driving or riding
