This awesome 1965 T5 Convertible Mustang is for sale in our
Louisville KY showroom. The T5 Mustang was Fords way of not paying
a copyright fee in Germany for using the Mustang name. They used
the T5 designation internally when building the Mustang, so they
simply dropped the Mustang and called it a T-5 And problem solved.
The car just like in America was an instant success with them being
sold to the same up and coming market. This example has been owned
by the same couple for the last 50 years with the original transfer
paperwork available. The first thing you notice about the car is
its green paint which was redone in 1999 back to its original
color. The tan top is in great condition with the power option
being highly sought after and this one working as it should. The
red line wheels are a great look and compliment the deluxe wheel
covers nicely. The rocker panel moldings give it a refined look
while giving protection to the rockers them self. Under the hood is
the original 289 which was gone through about 9000 miles ago. The
car runs great with it not blowing any smoke and decent amount of
power. The 3 speed transmission shifts as it should with a good
feel while going into each gear smoothly. Open the door and the ivy
gold interior is a pleasant surprise going well with the top and
the exterior. The console mounted shifter gives the car a much
cleaner interior. The bucket seats are in great shape and are
correct to the car. If you are looking for a great drop top Mustang
that is just a little different and owned by the same people for
50+ years this T5 is the one for you. Options on this 1965 Ford T5
