Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is excited to present this stunning
1966 Ford Mustang Convertible for sale. This Mustang has been very
well maintained and has lots of recent upgrades. It is extremely
difficult to find a Mustang in such beautiful condition. This pony
car is the one you want to own. Take advantage of a rare specimen
and become the driver of a pony car you can very proud to have
ownership. Powered by a 200 CID I6 and mated to a C4 automatic
transmission and an open rear end with 3:20 gear ratio. It's got
plenty of get up and go and even though the engine isn't original,
it is correct for the car. Painted in beautiful code T red with red
vinyl interior this car will turn heads wherever you go. Can you
think of any car that has caused such a commotion on launch? I
can't, but I can tell you that 54 years later the Mustang turns
heads today just as much as it did back in 1964. Now doubt about it
the Mustang today is the most popular classic car, bar none. It's
also one of the most practical classics, comfortable and reliable
with a simple mechanical package and a ready supply of parts. In
the early 1960s Ford needed a sporty car to combat new models from
rival carmakers, and the quickest way to do it they decided was to
tweak the Falcon underbody a little, throw in some Fairlane engines
and transmissions, and top it off with a sexy new two-plus-two
body. Production started in March 1964, the launch was at the New
York World's Fair in April; the rest is history. Options on this
classic pony include: Hub Caps, Vinyl Interior, convertible top,
AM/FM radio and bias ply tires. This 1966 Ford Mustang is for sale
