The car was finished in the very attractive Smoke Silver Metallic (code 702), and it sports both a matching Pagoda removable hardtop as well as a black canvas (as original) convertible top.
The frame and underside of the car appear free of rust, other than some minimal surface rust.
The Gray leather-trimmed seat upholstery is all in very good condition without any splits or holes. The door panels and dash pad look equally nice with the exception of two small cracks in the dash. Unusual for these cars, the wood dash trim all looks extremely nice with only a few cracks on the console.
The Pagoda removable hardtop is finished in the same color as the car and looks like new.
The black convertible top is canvas and in excellent condition with one small puncture in the left rear quarter glass.
This car has the 5.6 liter V-8 engine made for the 560SL series. The engine starts right up and runs as it should—strong and fast!
The automatic transmission shifts properly and smoothly enabling an enjoyable ride around town or into the country.
This SL has 4 new Kelly 205/65R15 tires mounted on Mercedes wheels—that have been driven fewer than 500 miles—as well as a spare.
The power disc brakes on all four wheels bring the car to a rapid and safe stop.
