Vehicle Description
With its unusually low mileage, great looking exterior and powerful
drivetrain, this 1999 Chevrolet Camaro SS offers the rare
opportunity to own a fourth generation specimen of this hallowed
model that's received only light usage over the years and features
the condition - both inside and out - to reflect it.
You just won't find many cars that started life before the turn of
the millennium that are as well-positioned to begin their next
chapter as this Camaro. Its black paint, so often an Achilles' heel
for a car due to its tendency to show flaws, is a clear benefit
here, as it's in terrific shape, with a wet-looking shine that
follows you as you walk the length of the car. Chevy restyled the
front clip of the Camaro just one year before this one debuted and
you can see those gracefully curved headlights that resulted look
great against the backdrop of the refined fenders and scooped hood.
The T-top configuration offers the best aspects of both hardtops
and convertibles - offering easy transition from an open-air
driving experience to a more sheltered environment when you so
choose. Having logged only about two years' worth of mileage by
normal standards and looking like its spent most of its down time
well-sheltered in a garage, this Camaro has also escaped the toll
that would have otherwise been extracted by the elements, so you'll
find that its sleek body panels still line up well, and the "SS"
badging on its fenders and tail really pops against the black
backdrop.
Of course, low mileage also means less wear and tear on the
interior, and that becomes evident just as soon as you climb
inside. The tan upholstery is a great match for the exterior and
looks sharp, with a pair of buckets up front that still have miles
and miles of life left in them and a fresh-looking bench seat in
back that offers more support for its passengers than many bucket
seats do. All the comfort features you'd want in a daily driver are
present and accounted for, including power seats, windows and door
locks, a tilt column, air conditioning that's running strong and an
AM/FM/CD system to handle your audio needs while you're out on the
road. Driver and passenger airbags provide an added measure of
safety. Raise the liftgate in back and you'll see a very clean
looking storage area that doesn't look like it's seen much use at
all, as there's no leftover signs of any mishaps, and its branded
"SS" trunk mat still looks good.
Just underneath the aerodynamic hood sits a 5.7 liter LS1 V8 with
all the power you need to get this Chevy going in a hurry. It left
the factory with well over 300 horsepower and is now equipped with
a cold air induction from SLP, so its output has only gone up from
there. A 4-speed automatic transmission sits just in back of the
engine, adding its secure shifting to the equation to make for a
drivetrain that's very much at the top of its game. By virtue of
this Camaro's elite "SS" status, a Torsen limited slip differential
sits in back to bring that power efficiently to the asphalt.
Anti-lock Power disc brakes at all four corners provide plenty of
skid-resistant stopping power, while power steering makes this
millennial muscle car easy to navigate. This superb looking Chevy
prowls the roads on a set of 17" SS rims, outfitted with Nitto
Extreme tires.
With its great looks, open air driving excitement and a powerful
drivetrain just now entering its prime, this 1999 Chevrolet Camaro
SS is a rare find. Call today!
