Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1978 International
Harvester Scout II. Well-optioned with a 345 cubic-inch V8,
automatic transmission, power steering and power disk brakes.
Recently restored both cosmetically and mechanically, this truck
runs and drives well and has a great look inside and out. Finished
in classic Omaha Orange with a black soft top, black grille and
bumpers, plus new BG Goodrich 32x11.50 all terrains on 15-inch
Method matte black alloy wheels - this Scout never fails to turn
heads. The body is straight and solid with no known rust
issues.
Interior has been completely redone with new Corbeau seats front
and rear that are both more comfortable and supportive than the
stock seats; interior floors have been professionally Line-X'd for
all-weather durability. Custom six-point roll cage and three-point
belts for added safety. And of course a locking Tuffy center
console for any valuables you need to stow. Steering wheel and dash
pad are in excellent original condition. Uncut dash retains its
original (and working) AM/FM radio.
Under the hood is the original 345 ci V8 mated to a TorqueFlite 727
automatic transmission. Dana 44 front and rear axles with 3.07
gears. Extensive maintenance history including recent belts, hoses,
plugs, wires, cap, rotor, rebuilt carburetor, engine reseal,
alignment, shocks, brakes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder and new
3 1/2 turn steering box. Nicely detailed engine compartment. Tens
of thousands in service and restoration receipts.
A great driving and looking truck that needs nothing except to be
enjoyed by its new owner. For more information about this 1978
