At the 2015 North American International Auto Show a more refined,
hardcore and limited production version of the GT350 was unveiled
called the GT350R. The track focused "R" sheds weight by
eliminating the rear seats and by introducing the worlds first
production FULL CARBON FIBER WHEELS. Each wheel is 15 pounds
lighter than the normal aluminum wheel offered and the rotational
weight reduction allows the "R" to reach 62MPH nearly half a second
faster than the standard GT350. Handling capabilities are also
increased via finer tuned suspension and super sticky Michelin
Sport Cup 2 tires allowing skid pad performance to reach 1.1 G.
The engine, code named VOODOO is also a first for Ford in that it
utilizes a Flat Plane Crank 5.2 Liter V8 producing 526 HP and 429
lb-ft of Torque. The Flat Plane design allows the engine to rev to
a staggering 8,250 RPM while producing the most exhilarating
exhaust note.
Our fine example only has 2,540 miles and is a one owner CA car. It
includes an extended warranty and tire damage protection through
July of 2022.
THERE WERE ONLY 526 "R" MODELS PRODUCED IN 2016 AND ONLY 53 IN THIS
