--Tuxedo Black with White Stripes, Black Vinyl interior, Black
carpeting, showing 63,000 miles, 302 cu in 4.9L V8 motor, 4-Speed
Muncie manual transmission.
Chevrolet created a legend with the Z28 and once Mark Donohue and
Roger Penske teamed up, they proved it was ideal for the SCCA Trans
Am series, winning the SCCA championship in 1968 and 1969.
This racing success was now part of the Z28 legacy and with which
these specialty street releases were built upon.
1968 Camaro Z28’s are amongst the rarest of the Z28’s with fewer
than 300 produced with the Rally-Sport option. This Rally
Sport’s options consisted of Front power disc brakes, Console with
gauges, D-80 spoilers, Rally wheels, Tic-Toc tach, F-41 race
suspension, Front bumper guards, AM radio, Posi-traction, Stainless
steel exhaust system, Deluxe wood steering wheel, Passenger side
mirror, and Rally-Sport hideaway headlamp package.
This Z28 RS has had over $120,000 invested to bring it to its
current exceptional condition. This Z28 RS has been well
known to Autosport Designs, Inc. It has been properly stored,
serviced and maintained with Autosport Designs throughout its most
recent collector ownership. Most recently and just 50 miles
ago this Z28 received her annual service including transmission,
brakes and rear diff service.
This Z/28 is a fantastic example that is ready for immediate
enjoyment.
