Vehicle Description
This is one very beautiful Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow finished in
"Silver Mink" with Navy Connolly hide interior and matching floor
rugs. The car is finished with hand-painted blue fine-lines on the
body waist-line and the hub-cap trim rings. The color is a stunning
combination with the Silver Mink presenting as a light blue/green
silver under typical light but then transforms into a very elegant
and under-stated "straight silver" in lower light and at night
time, giving the car a very formal look. The navy leather sets the
interior off perfectly. The car is truly immaculate and is a
border-line show car. The body on the car is straight as a die and
the paint is simply stunning. It has been a South Western USA car
its entire life and was professionally repainted in the last 10
years at a ridiculous cost of some $30,000. This is how fussy the
previous owner was. It was a complete repaint with all chrome off,
door jams done correctly and all new rubbers and gaskets used. The
quality is amongst the best you will see. Today it remains close to
perfect but for a slight imperfection on the top of the left door
(see pic). Other than that, which can easily be rectified, it is
without a scratch nor chip nor mark. You could comfortably describe
it as "perfect" - completely consistent, high in luster and no
signs of any over-spray on any externally fitted part. In fact, all
bright-work is so deep in luster, that I am certain they were all
highly buffed and polished during the repaint phase (door sills,
hubcaps, etc). The interior of the car is in stunning condition
with virtually perfect original Connolly hide leather. Excellent
testament to its relatively low mileage (any lines you may see in
the photos are the "natural" creases in the leather - for some
reason, they are accentuated in the photos whereas in real life the
seats present with welcoming patina that is just gorgeous). The
leather is soft and supple. All the wood is amazing having been
completely redone at a cost of some $4,000. This includes, dash,
console, doors, vanity mirrors and front & rear window surrounds.
The headlining is also in incredible condition without any stains
or smoking discolouration. Carpets are likewise. The deep grain and
glossy finish of the rich grained wood in this example combined
with the regal Navy blue make the interior of this car very rich
and inviting. Overall it is like new and smells like it too. All
interior feature and functions are fully operational including all
electrics - seats, windows, gauges, clock etc. The A/C blows icy
cold and heater working well. Everything is also clean and crisp.
It has its original push-button radio and factory installed 8-track
cassette - not many left these days. Mechanically, the car is in
superior condition and the presentation under the bonnet and under
carriage clearly shows that. It has not been "done-up" for sale but
maintained in original condition. The car has been incredibly
maintained on a very much "no expense spared" basis. This includes
all hydraulics and brakes which have been inspected and tested,
working well. Exhaust is good. The car has been fully work-shop
inspected. The car is fitted with a matching set of Michelin
Symmetry thin white-wall tyres which look fantastic on a Silver
Shadow. The car comes with the correct jack, tools and operating
manual. This is a true and undisputable 10 out of 10 driver example
that needs nothing else doing and, to reiterate to make the point,
is a border-line show car example. It makes for a gorgeous
"weekender" that you could also take to your next RR meet with
pride and joy.
