For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this 1961 MG Midget
MkI. 1961 marked the beginning of this iconic British sports car.
Based off of the Austin Healey Sprite, the Midget was very similar
in styling and functionality. The chrome strip down the side of the
car is the basic styling cue that set this apart from the Sprite.
The car never came with external door handles, and if you wanted to
have a top, then you had to be ready to put it together every time
you put it back on. This Midget has been bored out from a 1275cc
engine to what now is a whopping 1380cc's. This car was set up to
be a road racer with the custom roll bar and five point racing seat
belts. The upgrades to the engine had to be backed up by 5-speed
manual transmission from Ford. This little MG is more fun to drive
than you could ever imagine! To view this in 1961 MG Midget MkI
