In 1997, the Lincoln Town Car was given a major redesign. The new
car featured a revised Panther platform and an updated 4.6L modular
V8 engine, but the big news was the all new styling that was much
more rounded and aerodynamic than before. Other all new features
were fitted including standard seat mounted side airbags. The Town
Car was praised for its durability, reliability, and comfort, and
is still extremely popular to this day.
