Vehicle Description
Are you in the market for a Chrome bumper C3 corvette, but are
having a tough time deciding between a Numbers Matching car or a
Resto-mod? Your search might be over with this gorgeous white 1970
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. While it's powered by the numbers
matching 454ci V8 and the numbers matching auto transmission, today
if you lifted the hood you would see a much different look than the
way it left the factory.
The original 454 has been stroked to a 496ci V8. The 4-bolt main
features a balanced crank, H-beam rods, aluminum pistons, Moroso
deep oil pan with windage tray, General Motors 074 aluminum heads,
Comp Cams Hydraulic roller cams, aluminum intake and a Holley 770
Carburetor. But don't make the assumption that this is some monster
horsepower build. The idea behind the build was to improve on what
was already there and give it a little more pep, all while keeping
it something that could be enjoyed on the streets. This is why
you'll also find a Be-cool aluminum radiator with twin-electric
fans, Hydro power brake booster, 200 amp alternator, Vintage A/C,
High Volume fuel pump and a Monster high-torque starter.
But it didn't stop in just the engine bay, glance at the underneath
pictures and you'll find an upgraded front and rear suspension from
the folks at VBP suspensions with Neoprene bushings, composite rear
springs, new front springs, Bilstein shocks and upgraded 4-wheel
disc brakes with new plumbing and a 3.90 posi rear gear..
The car was repainted in its original Classic White factory color
in 2008. Ten years later, and the car still stands very tall. The
coated side pipes accent the white very well. The paint does show
minor daily driver flaws, but nothing that would keep you from
proudly displaying this car at your local car shows.
Pop open the doors and you'll find an interior that continues the
modern/original theme. On the floor you'll see new carpet that has
new insulation under it. New leather seat covers are fixed on the
seats in front of the new dash and door components. For music
you'll notice that a new AM/FM/CD player sends tunes through a
power amp and an upgraded speaker bar at the rear of the car.
If you are looking for a 100% original car that transports you back
to the dealership went it arrived new... This isn't the car for
you. However, if you are looking for a Vette that drives better
than the way it left the factory and has a little more horsepower
available, but still has the original big ticket items, then this
is your car. Don't miss out on your chance to own this
collectible!
