Vehicle Description
Power, poise, and plenty of attitude - this 1976 Ford F-100 4x4 has
it all. With shining metallic paint, great exterior upgrades, an
A/C interior, a big power V8, and much more, it has everything you
want, and it's ready to go right now.
The consignor is the owner of a paint and body shop, and so the
super-straight sheetmetal and high-gloss presentation you see in
the pictures is no accident. It gives this tough 4x4 an attractive
and bright personality. It nicely complements these F-Series
pickups, because they had style line built right into the
sheetmetal. You see in in places like the full-length beltline
crease and the flared fenders. But we bet your favorite appearance
pieces are the additions that add to both the style and usefulness.
For example, the bull bar up front and bed bars offer a place for
additional lighting while they also add to the shine of the pickup.
The diamond plating along the side of the bed helps protect the
paint, and there's even tough liner paint in the bed so you can
really use this truck to the fullest. The side steps are a great
addition because of the tall 4x4 stance. And, we know that trailer
hitch is making you think about all the toys you can tow with this
vintage Ford.
Inside you'll find more nice investments without losing the vintage
atmosphere. That's why the factory-style seat was recently
recovered; the coordinating black carpeting feels fresh; the new
exterior blue returns on the dash; and the wood applique is a great
'70s-style premium touch. There are also plenty of modern upgrades.
Some are subtle like the retro-style AM/FM stereo with aux input
for your iPod, and the modern R134a air conditioning blowing cold
from the factory vents. Other upgrades are more obvious like the
wood-rimmed sports steering wheel and SunPro tach. They let your
senses know there's something special under the hood even before
you twist the key and hear it roar.
The V8 looks fresh, because it is. The 302 cubic-inch powerplant
was installed around 1,000 miles ago. This is a roller motor built
by United Speed World with go-fast goodies such as an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor, aluminum heads, and a Big Mutha Thumpr cam.
The total package is said to be rated around 380 horsepower, and
the growl of the dual exhaust let's everyone know this is a big
power machine (there's also an air horn to make sure they always
hear you coming!) And the four-speed manual transmission means you
have full control over the enhanced V8 and its thunderous
soundtrack. But the extra power in the motor is also great for
off-road use. After all, the lifted stance, two-speed transfer
case, Super Swamper tires (with full size spare in the bed) are all
part of a package to keep you going when the pavement ends. And no
matter if you're on the street or trail, you'll appreciate features
like the power steering and front disc brakes.
This F-100 is ready for the campsite right now, or you could just
spend your weekends showing it off, too. But no matter how you use
it, it gets you there in A/C comfort and style. So if you're
looking for a total package vintage pickup, don't let this one slip
away. Call today!!!
