Vehicle Description
******** 590 MILES ON THE RESTORATION ***********For 1956, the
Nomad got a few small styling changes. The grill was bigger and
wider and included a horizontal bar. The small tail lights on the
1955 Nomad gave way to larger tail light housings. Plus the fuel
filler cap was hidden behind the driver side tail lamp. Only 8,000
Nomads were sold in the 1956 production year. Chevrolet had hoped
for better Nomad sales. Regular Bel Air 4 door station wagons out
sold the Nomad almost two to one. The 1955 and 1956 Nomads are more
popular today than 50 years ago. Just like the name Bel Air, the
Chevy Nomad is well known and highly sought after. This Nassau blue
beauty had a full restoration and has been driven sparingly since.
Powered by the original 265 and automatic transmission It runs and
drives as it should and all chrome , trim and glass is clean and
polished. This would be a welcome addition to any Chevy lovers
collection.
