Everyone has heard of the El Camino but a few years prior to that
GM release Ford created the classic Ranchero. This coupe utility
was adapted from a two door station wagon integrating both a cab
and cargo bed into the body. Sales were so good that GM couldn't
help but create a competitor. The Rancheros were produced from 1957
to 1979. When the 60's rolled around Ford felt people wanted a more
practical economical vehicle than a full size truck and the
Ranchero was the perfect fit. It was now based on the more compact
Ford Falcon and the cars were a hit. They even had a popular
following in places like Australia where people are still creating
Utes and adding truck beds to their vehicles. This 64 has a really
cool custom look and was just completed 2,431 miles ago. That is
the perfect amount of miles to break everything in, work out the
kinks and still have a freshly rebuilt car. The custom two tone
Silver in Black paint looks great together especially with the Red
pinstripe separating them. It has a really nice finish and there
are no rust issues or problems. During the build the car received
all new rubber throughout. The glass is all in great condition and
all windows are tinted. A custom bed cover was added and is a
really nice touch. Not only does it look nice but it will protect
whatever your carrying from the weather and concealed. You couldn't
ask for a better vehicle to go on a car cruise in. It runs great
and has plenty of room to bring along whatever you need for your
trip. The bed was also lined completely so you can haul anything.
It rides on new chrome wheels and the tires are all new as well.
The entire drivetrain has been gone through with the motor rebuilt
and multiple new components installed. Check out the following
tables to get a complete list of what what was done. The vehicle
also comes with a build look outlining this information.
