Vehicle Description
Stk 2393 1954 Ford Customline
Back in the '50s, style became King. This 2-owner 1954 Customline
two-door post is a beautiful example of a mid-fifties Ford that
evolved into a stunning street rod. It has taken many awards. The
total restoration (2013) was carefully thought-out and executed. An
unmolested exterior was professionally re-sprayed Lexus Barcelona
Red Pearl and is virtually flawless. Steel wheels, 14" wide-white
radials, trim rings and 'dog dish' wheel covers add period-correct
accents. All chrome, including the iconic front bullet, is
exceptional. The interior has been reupholstered in black/red
high-grade vinyl. (Front power bucket seats are from a 2003 Chevy
Tahoe.) All components are stunning including the custom console,
headliner, carpeting and door panels. The vintage dash is made even
more functional with a full set of classic-style gauges. Comfort
features include A/C, AM/FM/MP3, power tinted windows, power locks
and tilt wheel. Horsepower is provided by a 1972 Ford 351 Cleveland
that was built by Parks-Nash Engines, Monroe, NC. This 351C HO has
the same specs as the earlier 351C CobraJet - 4-bolt mains, 9.0:1
compression and open-chamber heads. As part of the build, the
factory hydraulic cam was modestly reground from the factory
.480-.488 lift / 270-290 duration to add a little more punch. A C6
automatic with stock converter transfers torque to 9" Ford
differential with 2.47:1 gearing. The chassis is equipped with
power steering/power brakes and the suspension is adjustable
coil-over shocks with multi-link rear stabilizer bars. This Ford
sedan will cruise effortlessly all day at 70mph. Our stunning
Customline needs a new Blue Oval fan to pamper it - one who will
appreciate the beautiful style of this full size classic. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
