This is the most fun and enjoyable car I have ever had. I have had 14 sports cars and sports sedans in my life and this Boxster is the best. My wife wants me to sell it so I am not borrowing her SUV when I go to the golf course or cycling or hiking. We cannot justify having 3 vehicles so I told her I would list the Boxster for sale. Actually, this car has quite a bit of cargo room for a roadster because it is a mid-engine car so it has both a front and back trunk. Purchased the car from the original owner’s family in August, 2016 with 6,740 miles on car.
The original owner died about a year after purchasing the vehicle and it was left to his son. The son had a wife and small children so they were only able to drive it a few hundred miles a year in those rare times when they could get away from the kids for a while. It was kept garaged the whole time in Greeley, CO. At the time, I had a Porsche mechanic do a complete inspection - he found no mechanical problems at all. He also put in a new battery and new tires just because of age. I put on about 5,000 miles from that point forward and had no problems at all.
In NOV, 2017, the Porsche dealer in Ft Collins did an annual service check and maintenance. They changed all fluids - no mechanical problems needed to be fixed.
This check was at 11,924 miles.
I now have 12,659 miles on car and have no mechanical issues whatsoever.
I also had a detailer put on a gel coat which is much better than wax because it lasts much longer.
Also, dirt adheres to wax but not to a gel coat finish.
I have all the records on work done and items added to the car since I purchased it in August, 2016.
The mid-engine layout is why this car is so fun to drive. The engine is right behind your back so it handles like a go kart.
This car is like getting a near new car for 20 per cent of the price of a new Boxster.
