Vehicle Description
Sports cars just don't get much more awesome than the new
Corvettes. They have supercar class performance and looks, advanced
features, are comfortable, easy to drive, and have been praised for
the quality of their new, high-tech interiors. They are frequently
called the world's best sports-car bargain. There is more to this
car than can be covered in a brief description, and they really
need to be experienced first-hand to be fully appreciated. So, read
through the basics, check out the pictures, then come on down to
experience this Corvette.
Presented in Red and Black, this Stingray Z51 came equipped with
the 2LT trim package but was immediately upgraded with some killer
Z06 aero. The front grill, lip spoiler and side skirts were added
on, and along with some of the original body colored aero, were
painted black. The look is awesome, almost sinister. When you roll
down the street, or into a parking lot, this car turns heads.
Everyone knows what it is, and they know what it represents. World
class American engineering and success on full display. Up front,
the blacked-out grill and aero looks ready to swallow up whatever
gets in its way. But it won't get scratched doing it because there
is a clear bra protecting the Red on the front fenders, bumper, and
lower portion of the hood. The black aero, trim, and hood treatment
is complimented by a 20% tint on the windows that really adds to
the effect, and the shine of the paint is matched by the shine of
those chrome alloy wheels.
Open the door and get ready to experience a sleek leather interior
built with a quality of workmanship you would expect to find in
limited production cars from Italy or England, not a production car
from America. Then pack that interior full of cutting edge cabin
technology like a heads-up display, an 8-inch color driver
information display, a central touchscreen with MyLink infotainment
interface, OnStar with data connection and WiFi hotspot capability,
Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and cameras front and rear
to assist in parking. There are also comfort and convenience
features like a leather wrapped flat bottom steering wheel, a
dual-zone climate control system, a tilt and telescoping steering
wheel, a state of the art Bose sound system with dual subwoofers,
heated and ventilated seats with position memory settings, keyless
ignition and entry, power windows, locks, cruise and more. And
let's not forget about the safety built into this car like the air
bags and other structural designs which are in addition to the
active safety provided by an alert driver operating a capable
car.
Nobody is underestimating the capabilities of this car. Part of the
fun is that it starts with a classic, all American V8 pumping 460
horsepower out of 6.2 Liters. That power is sent back to the
8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters that was
ordered with this car. Would it be ridiculous, or important, to
mention here that it does that with EPA rated fuel mileage figures
of 29 highway and 17 city? Pretty amazing. But back to the fun
stuff. Huge Brembo brakes with slotted rotors can haul this car
down from speed repeatedly, all day, without fading. The suspension
is a race developed and tested system of short/long arms working
through lightweight transverse leaf springs with specially tuned
shocks that provide the seemingly impossible combination of
stunning race car performance along with road car manners. Traction
control and electronic stability control work through 285/30/ZR20
rubber in the back and 245/35/ZR19 in the front to help a driver
look good on track, but also stay safe on the road.
Awesome V8 power. Racetrack ready yet comfortable on the highway.
