Vehicle Description
Worldwide Vintage Autos is pleased to present this 1970 Jaguar E
Type Convertible.
HISTORY
TheJaguar E-Type, or theJaguar XK-Efor the North American
market, is a Britishsports carthat was manufactured byJaguar
Cars Ltdbetween 1961 and 1975. Its combination of beauty, high
performance, and competitive pricing established the model as an
icon of the motoring world. The E-Type's 150mph (241km/h) top
speed, sub-7-second0 to 60 mph(97km/h)
acceleration,monocoqueconstruction,disc
brakes,rack-and-pinionsteering, andindependent front and rear
suspensiondistinguished the car and spurred industry-wide
changes. The E-Type was based on Jaguar'sD-Typeracing car, which
had won the24 Hours of Le Mansthree consecutive years beginning
1955,and employed what was, the early 1960s a racing design
principle, with a front subframe carrying the engine, front
suspension and front bodywork bolted directly to the body tub. No
ladderfame chassis, as was common at the time, was needed and as
such the first cars weighed only 1315kg (2900lb). SOURCE:

The cost of parts and restoration of these vehicles are increasing
daily. They are not making any more and, therefore, they are
becoming more rare by the day. Buy one complete and ensure your
investment for the future. An excellent investment and something
you can enjoy daily. Collectible vintage vehicles have historically
appreciated at a rate greater than that stock market, gold and
other arts and collectibles as documented by many articles and
