Vehicle Description
This 1915 Model T Circus wagon has appeared in the Ringling Bros.
and Barnum & Bailey Circus parade, hosting the ringmaster. The
eight scrolls were hand-carved using original circus scrolls; the
molds were located in Texas, taken and re-carved out of white pine
as they would have been originally. The scrolls then were sealed
and 24-karat Italian gold leaf was applied. The finishing details
are finger-swirled 24-karat gold leaf and professional pinstriping.
The cage bars were made to size, originally of wrought iron, but
changed to solid brass tubing for aesthetic purposes. The wooden
spokes were handcrafted by the Amish in Pennsylvania and assembled
to make the wheels. Each spoke is pinstriped and sealed. This Model
T circus wagon has a Ruxtel high-speed rear end, giving this
vehicle four different speeds. This circus vehicle has been
meticulously restored and is truly one-of-a-kind. From the John
Staluppi Cars of Dreams Collection.
