Vehicle Description
This superb example of a 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 convertible is
fitted with the 371ci "Golden Rocket" engine with optional coveted
J2 Tri-Power carburation, producing 312hp backed by the automatic
transmission. The all-matching-numbers original "Rocket" engine and
transmission were rebuilt, and all chrome was redone or replaced.
The car has only 75 miles since the complete rebuild and is
beautifully finished in bright Festival Red with red and white
leather interior and a new white power convertible top. It features
power steering, power brakes, smooth-winding windows, Hydramatic
transmission, radio clock, chrome dash trim and rear bumper exhaust
ports. During restoration everything was addressed, including
rubbers and weatherstripping, lights, switches and trim, the
undercarriage was detailed, and four new tires were installed. This
Oldsmobile is in extraordinarily beautiful condition with hood,
trunk and doors lined up very well.
