1930 FORD PICK UP Bowman 30 This 1930 original steel Ford closed
full height cab pickup was found on a farm in Northern Nevada and
subjected to a great rebuild to this great driving and performing
hot rod with now less than 500 miles on the build. The truck was
complete in rolling condition, with a few bullet holes in the cab
rear. Beginning with a body acid dip then rebuilding the doors,
rebuilt by Hot Rods and Hobbies and a few other areas repaired as
well, retaining the original cab, fenders, bed and hood. The doors
have all new registers, new hinges, and new mechanisms. The door
handles and window cranks handles are refurbished and rechromed
originals. A TCI custom chassis with all new suspension, wishbone
front end, coil over shocks, Wilwood front disc brakes with
stainless steel lines was fabricated. The engine is a GM Chevrolet
383ci Stroker small block producing 400hp, with Edelbrock intake,
Holley carb, MSD ignition and just the right amount of billet and
chrome dressing. The transmission is a 700R4 with Bowtie overdrive.
The rear end is a Ford 9". New Halibrand 5-spoke wheels are mounted
on the 4 corners. The interior features a Limeworks steering column
with new original design steering wheel, an array of Auto Meter
gauges mounted in a billet center, a Glide seat with tilt back, new
carpeting and a well designed covering by Elegance Upholstery. The
windshield wipers are New Port Engineering electrical. The bed is
sealed and stained oak with stainless strips. The tailgate has
hidden closures. Beneath the bed and the custom rolled rear pan is
the battery shut off. Either side of the cab are saddle style side
fuel tanks with electric fuel pump and electronic selection switch.
The laser straight body is finished with 10 coats paint and 10
coats clear in a two tone mix of GM Labyrinth Gray and GM Carbon
Flash Charcoal, both in glistening metallic effect. Larry Fater,
Quicksilver, did complimenting pinstriping on the body and
interior. All glass, chrome, wiring are new. A binder with original
condition and progressive photos as well as a file of extensive
receipts and detailed construction notes accompany the truck. This
is a great looking, easy driving, well performing 1930 Ford Pick
