Vehicle Description
With its flowing lines and an almost art deco look blending with a
thoroughly streetrod demeanor, this 1934 Ford 3 Window Coupe
represents an intriguing combination of automotive nostalgia and
real world streetability. It features a captivating two-tone paint
job to accentuate its sleek good looks and also carries some
appreciable power in its spacious engine bay.
As you move your gaze from the ground upwards, tangerine orange
transitions into pearl white metallic and provides this '34 with
one magnetic exterior. It comes as no accident that the
pigmentation seems just a little more vibrant than you'd normally
encounter, as it comes via the House of Kolor, a respected supplier
of streetrod paint for more than 60 years. It might appear at first
that the two colors are separated by a tinted strip of chrome that
runs nearly uninterrupted around the entire circumference of its
body - stopping only in front, so as not to detract from the ornate
front grille - but that's just an illusion. That partition you see
was actually created with skillful airbrushing, and it shows
outstanding craftsmanship, providing a very convincing 3D effect
and some really great detailing within its boundaries. The painted
flowing lines of this coupe take center stage without a lot of
chrome to pull focus, but what chrome that is featured - such as
the casings surrounding both the headlights and taillights -
represents itself exceedingly well and you'll also find the glass
on all sides to be impressively clear.
A pair of suicide doors open to reveal one seriously intricate and
compelling interior, with a sharp looking gray vinyl bench seat
carrying snakeskin accents at its center. You'll find a nice mix of
creativity and craftsmanship here, with door panels to each side
that mirror the same pattern found on the seating, and a
showstopper of a custom steering wheel sitting within easy grasp on
a chrome tilt column. Just beyond it, the dash area features some
impressive craftsmanship of its own, with two tone coloring to
match the exterior, a set of white-faced Moon gauges sitting in the
instrument cluster and a trio of well-placed registers that combine
with a Vintage air climate control system to keep everyone
comfortable on the road. There's an AM/FM/CD player nestled
underneath the bench seat to control an array of speakers that
includes subwoofers mounted toward the rear. Open the deck lid to
view the storage area in back, and you'll see a clean expanse of
gray carpeting lining its confines, with a glimpse of that pair of
subs and a sizable amp up front and a battery that's been relocated
from the engine bay.
There's a nice array of top tier components situated underneath the
hood, most notably a 383-cubic inch stroked V8 sitting at the
center to provide all the power you'd want while rumbling its deep
exhaust note out of a pair of ceramic coated headers. It's
outfitted with an Edelbrock intake manifold and 4-barrel carb,
carries an MSD ignition in tow to provide optimal sparking, and is
paired with a Muncie M22 4-speed transmission that's well suited to
handle the output of the stroked engine. As much as this vintage
Ford is configured for serious power and visual impact, it's an
easy driver, as well, with featured power steering and power front
disc brakes. This magnetic coupe rides on a set of 15" Billet
Specialties wheels, wrapped with Hankook Optima tires.
A well-planned and creative finish, extensive features and a
