Wow, 38,862 original miles! How rare is it to find a low mile,
pampered muscle car? Especially a GTO! Very clean survivor car.
It's been repainted one time and carefully maintained. It functions
and drives like a low mile car should. Doors and trunk click shut.
It is worthy of any car show. The body is mint and original. Gaps
are tight, it's laser straight. Paint has a high gloss, smooth
clear coat finish. Starting up front the rubber bumper is
excellent, there are thin stress cracks in the paint. The grills
and bezels are in very nice shape, it still has four of the T-3
headlights. All the moldings and trim are shiny and straight. Even
the original metal door edge guards usually takes a beating, these
are nice. The vinyl top is original and in remarkably good shape. I
think the top is handsome when it's color matched to the car. In
back the bumper has beautiful bright chrome, tail lights are mint.
The wheels are in excellent shape, has correct center caps and
bright beauty rings. Has reproduction Wide Oval white stripe tires.
Now moving inside the jambs and original rubber is very nice.
Sitting inside you feel like you're in a new car again. The dash
pad, heater controls, chrome vents are super nice, even the inside
mirror is crystal clear. Console is mint, knob is not worn. From
carpet to headliner it is tight, not worn looks near new. Under the
hood has been very carefully cleaned and touched to look factory
new. Has all the proper bits and pieces- vacuum lines, heat riser,
manifolds, etc. The firewall, bottom of hood, inner fenders are a
smooth satin finish. Even the front suspension is smooth and clean.
Has correct hose clamps. Inside the trunk is spotless, perfectly
clean metal with a nice coat of spatter paint. Has mat, jack and
the # match spare rim with original wide oval tire. Under the car
is virgin clean metal. Front end is rebuilt. Exhaust, starter,
brakes look recent. Motor and trans are vin # matched. The carb and
distributor are the original # matching parts. Has original
glovebox envelope with manual, warranty plate and papers. Also has
PHS docs and window sticker. This is a very handsome GTO. The
preserved originals are very sought after and very few still exist.
They are only original once!
