For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Only 665 miles on a show quality body off frame restoration. It is a #s match, California car. Only 15% of the pace cars were Calif built. It is a real pace car and is very highly optioned. Has RS-SS, a/c, deluxe interior and so much more.

EXTERIOR: The body is laser straight, the gaps are right on. Even though it's white, it still has a mirror reflection glass finish. The stripes are painted, Indy designation are decals. All of the chrome including emblems, stainless moldings, handles bumpers, have been replaced. New white convertible top, even the top irons were painted gloss black. Windows are aligned very well. The jambs are painted, weather strips, sill plates and proper decals were replaced. Rally wheels are restored and have reproduction Goodyear Polyglass tires.

INTERIOR: Inside the car has all new deluxe houndstooth upholstery. New door panels, window cranks, dash pad, carpet, visors and reproduction floor mats. The center console is restored, heater control and knobs are replaced. It's optioned out with a tilt deluxe wheel, gauge cluster and tachometer, power top, Am-Fm radio and tilt deluxe wheel.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is clean metal that's been completely repainted. Has new rubber mat, restored rally wheel with a new BFG tire and correct jack.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is restored to look factory new. Has the complete cowl induction assembly including flapper door in the hood. Correct manifolds, valve covers, fuel filter, hoses, clamps, battery cables, etc.

UNDERSIDE: It is completely restored and detailed. The floors appear to be original and painted semi gloss black. Correct new exhaust system. Everything looks proper, new or restored- brake and fuel lines, shocks, parking brake cables etc. Suspension is cleaned and detailed. Trans and bottom of motor is detailed.

MECHANICS: Per previous owner mechanics are rebuilt. It certainly looks that way upon our inspection. Everything visible looks new like rebuilt front end, starter, fuel pump, etc. Our shop has inspected and tested the car. It functions great.

CONCLUSION: The Indy Pace car has so much to offer- RS-SS, cowl hood, spoilers and more. Unique to the Pace Car only is orange houndstooth interior and instead of side SS stripes they came with Z-28 stripes. This car also has many other factory options too. I don't know if I have ever listed so many options on a Camaro. The value is there, it is a fresh body off frame restoration of a California car!
