Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this way cool 1969 Land
Rover Santana imported from Colombia. Between the minimalistic
nature of these early Land Rovers and the cool styling, this SUV is
sure to turn heads. Under the hood of this utility vehicle of
yesteryear is a 2.25-liter inline four cylinder engine that runs
very smoothly for its age. Sending the power to the rear end is a
four speed manual transmission equipped with an extremely low "tree
puller" first gear that allows for easy rock crawling or activities
where instant torque is needed. Overall the powertrain of this
beast feels solid and is what you would expect from a 50 year old
utility vehicle (not powerful, but solid and well built). Moving
outward, the body of this off roading legend is finished in the
original light green paint. Supporting each corner of this ride are
black painted wheels wrapped in large mud tires that provide good
contrast from the light body color of the vehicle. Overall the
exterior of this car is in decent condition with a few scratches
and dings, but nothing abnormal for the type of vehicle. Upon
entering the cabin, the driver will be met with an extremely
minimalistic dash and interior. This gives the vehicle a very rough
and tough feel which is exactly why these old Land Rovers are
sought after. The minimalistic nature of these vehicles also means
that they are the polar opposite of modern Land Rovers, extremely
reliable. Providing the driver with some comfort are redone seat
covers that are in good condition. Overall this Land Rover is in
decent condition and would make an excellent weekend toy. For more
