This exceptionally clean 1988 Monte Carlo SS is for sale in our
Louisville KY showroom. In 1982 GM designated the A body as the G
body which is what everyone knows these cars as today. The big news
didn't hit until 1983 when the SS package was offered again after
being obsolete 12 long years. After a 5-year run 1988 would be the
last year for the now highly sought-after SS G Body. This 88 SS has
gone through a ton of work to bring it to what you see know. The
torpedo red paint is fresh and clean showing off the body lines
perfectly. The gold pinstriping is classic 80's and really pops on
that red paint. You notice the black glass T-Tops which was one of
the best things to come out of that generation. With the seals
being in superb shape if they are installed correctly you should
have no worries of any leaks. Under the hood the original 305 has
been exchanged for a much nicer and stronger 350. The small cam
allows for a nice lope at idle and a solid performer at the mid RPM
range. Hooked up to the classic 700r4 transmission this SS is sure
to be at home cruising down the interstate. Open the door and one
of the cleanest interiors I have seen awaits you. The best part in
my opinion has got to be the bucket seats with the console
separating them. The shifter placed perfectly in front of that
console giving this a true sports car feel. You look up from the
passenger seat and a custom set of Dakota digital gauges are the
