Thunderbird 2 Door Hardtop with the original factory Sauterne Gold
Metallic exterior paint and a matching Ivy Gold vinyl interior.
This example is a rare "Q-code" classic with a factory 428 cid V-8
engine (350 HP), and the numbers-matching automatic transmission.
This outstanding survivor has been driven a total of 65,038
lifetime miles and it is in excellent mostly unrestored
condition.
True Survivor w/ Factory Paint, Drivetrain & More
The current owner of this 1966 Ford Thunderbird Hardtop has enjoyed
it since 2005 and he informs us that it has been well cared for by
three total families throughout its life. A closer inspection
reveals an immaculate engine factory compartment that's been kept
at amazing standards throughout its lifetime, with the factory
paint still wrapping the firewall and appearing almost like-new in
appearance. The performance is just as impressive with a smooth
start and excellent overall performance on the open road- there's
absolutely no doubt that this rare, sought-after classic has been
babied since day one.
Additionally, this 1966 Ford Thunderbird has very clean body lines
with only minor blemishes to the factory exterior paint. The
original chrome is also excellent throughout without any major
visible pitting or significant scratches. Even the factory seating
stands out without any stains or tears, and the original dashboard
is also complete with all the correct gauges in working order.
You could search for years without finding a more original survivor
in this type of condition because these examples simply do not
exist anymore on the open market.
Three Lifetime Owners Driven Only 65,038 Miles
Overall, this 1966 Ford Thunderbird Hardtop is one of the nicest
survivors we've ever seen. With rare factory options and so much
more to offer, this would make an outstanding addition to any
serious collection and it can be enjoyed right away. At a
conservative asking price, this is certainly not a classic that you
want to let slip by. For more information about this vehicle,
