with Sable Green interior this XK150 has spent its entire 59-year
life in California, most recently in Newport Beach and Laguna
Beach. 49,740 miles since new this XK150 is still accompanied by
original black plates and was the recipient of a comprehensive
restoration in 2001-2 during which a number of carefully selected
mechanically upgrades were made to improve its drivability and
usability. There is over $85,000 in receipts included for the
renewal of the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrics,
body, interior ($13,000 alone). During this time, the transmission
was replaced with a more modern 5-speed unit, and numerous
electrical upgrades were performed. It has been fitted with a new
gear reduction starter, electric fan, and alternator conversion as
well as a ZF rack and pinion power steering conversion. The car
also comes with numerous period documents including service
voucher, original guarantee certificate, and dealer directory.
