1954 Oldsmobile 98 Starfire Convertible in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Offered here is one cool and classic drop-top cruiser. This 1954
Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Starfire 2-Door Convertible has been one
local mans pride and joy for car shows and parades since the early
2000's. He has now passed and the family has entrusted us with
finding a new home for this beautiful car. There were only 6,800
produced in 1954, making this example a rare find.
The car is finished in factory two-tone Turquoise/Polar White with
a White power convertible top and white interior. The paint finish
is good and the undercarriage has been coated. The seats, trim
panels, carpet, and dash have all been redone with steering wheel
leather matching the dash. Power windows and power seats were
added. Power top was rebuilt with hydraulics and electrics
restored. The car has new wide whitewall tires on original wheels
with original style flipper wheel covers. It also has the factory
optioned spotlights and cruiser skirts.
The car is powered by the original Oldsmobile Rocket 324ci/185hp
4bbl V8 with a 4-Speed Hydramatic automatic transmission. The
engine has been freshly rebuilt plus a newer gas tank and fluid
lines. The car fires right up and glides down the road. Other
features include power steering, power brakes, dual exhaust with
chrome tips, dual spot lights, tinted shaded windshield, power
convertible top, AM-FM stereo radio-clock, cruiser fender skirts,
and 98 Starfire Equipment.
These 98 Convertibles are hard to come by, especially one that has
been this well cared for. These cars make the perfect parade cars
or just a Sunday cruise to the beach. A great classic Oldsmobile at
a reasonable price. Call if interested or e-mail with questions.
