of the 88. It was designed as a squarer, slab-sided design that
featured 18 solid colors and 18 two-tone color combinations. All
had wrap-around windshields. The 88 was the entry-level model car
for Oldsmobile and featured the "Rocket" V8 engine. In 1955 much
didn't change. The biggest difference was the Oldsmobile nameplate
went from the hood to floating on the grille. 1950's Oldsmobile's
were known for the quality of construction, decent performance,
durability, and the fact that they were pretty well-equipped
